Jerry Gale Delp of Rising Sun died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del. He was 68.
Born on May 9, 1945 in Piney Creek, N.C., he was the son of the late Luther and Blanche Delp. Mr. Delp worked and retired from Chrysler in Newark, Del. after 44 years. He was devoted to his family, friends, and his church, Freemont United Methodist. Doris M. Winters of Oxford, Pa. died Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove, Pa. She was 82. Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie Rea Jones. Doris was a member of the Truth and Life Center Church, Elkton. She enjoyed reading the Bible. She was retired from Herr Foods, Nottingham, Pa. Ruth Geraldine Webb of Rising Sun died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. She was 91.
She was born in Conowingo to the late Elmer and Pearl (McCoulough) Reed. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother to her husband and children, and later in life, she was a doting grandmother to her grand children and great grand children. Evelyn Elizabeth Basham of North East died at home Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was 81.
Born August 13, 1932 in North Eas, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Mary Elizabeth Burns Reynolds. Scott Andrew Stello died Thursday, November 28. He was 51.
Hie is survived by his wife, Thérèse Stello; daughters Bryna Colley and Mary Welch; three grandchildren, and siblings Gene, Mike, and Valerie Stello. He taught us that the recipe to a great life is simple— love your family, work hard, and make others laugh. Born in North East on April 16, 1925, he was the son of the late Bertram C. and the late Helen L. (Rothwell) Ward. He served his country during World War II from 1943 to 1946 in the U. S. Army, 315th Infantry Co. D., in Normandy, Northern France, and the Rhineland. He received the Good Conduct Medal and several ribbons. Mary K. Atwood of Rising Sun died Friiday, Nov. 22, 2013 at Christiana Hospital. She was 71.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Atwood. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. |
