Eddie J. Mullins of Rising Sun died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his home. He was 63.
Born February 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Walter and Margaret Mullins, Sr. Mr. Mullins enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and tinkering with motors, especially lawnmower motors. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh, however, what Eddie loved most was spending time with his family and friends, especially his children. Arnold A. Lovlie of Elkton died Monday, October 6, 2014. He was 80. Born near Windber, Pa., he was the son of the late Arnie M. and Mary E. Lantz Lovlie. Mr. Lovlie served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper from 1956-1959, with tours in Germany and Lebanon. His working career included 31 years with Interstate Trucking Company, where he was a member of the Teamsters Union, and 23 years at Porter Chevrolet, Newark, Del. Joseph R. Class of Colora died Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was 53. Born August 4, 1961 in Baltimore, he was the son of Raymond E. and Kathleen E. Class. Mr. Class was and accomplished plasterer and drywall mechanic His true passion was working with thoroughbred race horses and he trained them professionally. Mr. Class loved fishing, animals, and working in his vegetable gardens. He was also an avid Ravens and Orioles fan. Margaret “Joan” Thompson-McCardell of Perryville, died October 2, 2014. She was 83.
Born March 27, 1931 in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late James K. and Lois Hasson Page. She had a long career in banking starting with the National Bank of Perryville. She also owned and managed a department store with her first husband, James “Tinker” Thompson. She was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Perryville. Jean England Heinel of Littler River, S.C. died September 2, 2014. She was 86.
