Frank Joseph Whitecavage III, 55 yrs, of Conowingo, MD, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born April 18, 1961 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph and Violet Mae Coulter Whitecavage.
Frank was co-owner of Conowingo Gas of Conowingo, MD. He is survived by his sons, Frank Joseph Whitecavage IV of Rising Sun, MD, and Michel J. Whitecavage of Conowingo, MD; daughters, Jennifer Shepherd of Elkton, MD, and Alisha Campbell of Conowingo, MD; brother, Richard Gordon; sisters, Pam Kincaid and Donna Miller; and seven grandchildren. Mary R. Cordill, 88 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in the Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, MD. Born in Calvert, MD, on January 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Chapman) Rogers. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Ewing and the late John Cordill. Mrs. Cordill was a member of Dogwood Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: Charles Ewing of Elkton, MD, Daniel Ewing (Debbie) of Elkton, MD, Dorothy Miller Glenn) of North East, MD; 10 grandchildren and15 great grandchildren. Mary T. Smith, 93 of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at her son’s home. Born in Baltimore, MD, on July 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ida Pomponi. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Gargiulo, Sr. and the late Henry Francis Smith. Mrs. Smith retired from Acme where she had worked as a meat wrapper and a clerk. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD and faithfully attended St. Jude’s Catholic Church in North East, MD. Carl W. Bodine, affectionately known by all as “Pop”, 87 of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Marshall County, AL, on October 10, 1928, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Morgan) Bodine. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Chrysler for 39 years. Mr. Bodine enjoyed gardening, cars, especially old cars and country music. Most of all he loved his family and the time spent with them. Brian Kevin Stacy, 52 of North East, MD, died suddenly Sunday, July 31, 2016.
He was born in Wilmington, DE, on June 29, 1964. Brian worked as a maintenance manager and painter. He loved fishing, enjoyed cooking and going to the ocean. Survivors include one daughter: Meghan Summers and one son: Jordan Stacy both of North East, MD; his mother: Freda (Fuller) Stacy of Elkton, MD; and three sisters: Carla Parker of Long Neck, DE, Drema Dean and Tammy Evans both of North East, MD. Tana Lynn Erbe, 60, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 1, 2016. Born on September 6, 1955 in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of Mary Ellen (Yeager) Boyer and the late Harold Boyd Boyer. Tana earned her Bachelors of Science degree from East Stroudsburg State College, where she graduated in 1977. Upon graduation, she worked for the State of Maryland as a parole and probation agent, and later was promoted to supervisor from which she retired in 2009. Tana was an avid walker and loved the beach. She was also an avid reader, and loved music, cooking and baking. Above all, she was very devoted to her family and her church. |
