Willard Edward Barr, 90 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at home. Born September 29, 1927 in Blythedale, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Edward and Anna Rebecca Smith Barr. Willard was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during W.W. II. He was employed as a Vehicle Test Driver by the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, and was a lifelong resident of Cecil County. A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Dean Barr of Perryville, MD; son, Robert Edward Barr; daughters, Susan Marie Fradel and Alice Ann Whitmill; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Henry Barr; sisters, Blanche Kambouran and Gladys Nunez.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 10 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, April 16, 2018, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Elkton, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Arrangements By Lee A.
