Vincenzza Celeste "Nanny" Phelps, age 75, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer for 10 years. Born in Camden, NJ, on May 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosalia Viscusi Quattrocchi. Mrs. Phelps had owned and operated a cleaning service. She loved her family, cooking, and playing bingo. She is survived by children, Peter Guy, Jr. and wife, Annette, Bridgeton, NJ, Tina Guy, Margate, NJ, Jettie Guy, Elkton, MD, Salvatore Guy and wife, April, Alloway, NJ, Robin Garrett, Elkton, MD, and Sandra Wells and husband, Felix, Chesapeake City, MD; siblings, Virginia Ussio, Emanuel Vigas, Joan Klosek, John Quattrocchi, Salvatore Quattrocchi, Patricia Lafferty, Rosalie Quattrocchi, Jessica Dadak, and Maria Ricca; grandchildren, Peter Guy, III, Kristin Duffield, Zachary Guy, Amanda Rice, Ashley Rice, Michael Brida, Jessica Troy, Jordan Guy, Clayton Guy, Derek Guy, Harrison Guy, Weston Guy, Daniel Phelps, Joseph Garret, Jr., Justin Garrett, Jon Phelps, Stephan Leffew, with whom she lived, Dyllon Phelps, and Nathan Wells; and several great-grandchildren.
She was loved by all of her family and friends and will be missed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Estel Phelps, Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Csaszar; and son-in-law, Joseph A. Garrett, Sr. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, at Endeavor Church (formerly Pleasant Hill Worship Center), 32 Hilltop Road, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
