Shirley Ann Pierce of Rising Sun died at home on February 15, 2014. She was 70. Born in Elkton on September 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Bernard (Barney) and Anna Keller. She was a graduate of Rising Sun High School and continued to meet with her classmates on a monthly basis. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Harrington Auto Body and recently worked part time at Benjamin’s Store. She bowled in leagues twice a week at Elkton Lanes, with her best friend Mabel Eldreth. She was a member of the Lion’s Club and the Red Hat Society, as well as a fan of NASCAR, the Ravens and Orioles. She was a talented cook and an avid reader. She enjoyed music and supported her son Eric’s band.
She is survived by four sons, Bryan Pierce and his wife Deborah of Clarksville, Tenn., Eric Pierce and his wife Patty of Rising Sun, Jason Pierce and his companion Monica and Jeremy Pierce and companion Leslie; grandchildren Gregory, Miranda and Addison Pierce, Adam Snyder, Marissa and Madison. A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Friday February 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. with a visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Brookview Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Stephanie McNeil Legacy Foundation or Friends of Jacki and mailed to the funeral home. Comments are closed.
