Shawn Christopher Armour of Rising Sun died Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was 41. Born January 25, 1974 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of James Thomas Armour and Linda Carol (Freligh) Armour. Mr. Armour was a horse trainer and driver in the harness horse racing Industry which he learned from his grandfather through the years. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was devoted to his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all. Including his parents, Shawn is survived by his wife, Carla Armour; son, Aidan Scott Armour; daughter, Harlee Ann Temple; two brothers, Brian K. Armour and his wife, Megan and Shane Armour and his wife, Bonnie; sister-in-law, Laura Carnahan; and his mother and father-in-law, Marcia and John Carnahan. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, Jacob Atlee, Brianna, Brandon, Lauren, Emily, Bailey, and Christopher Armour; and his great niece Jordan Armour.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Atlee Armour, Jr.; great grandfather, William Atlee Armour, Sr.; grandmothers, Ruth Freligh and Dot Armour; great grandmother, Muriel Armour; and uncle Buckwheat Armour. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. A service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, also at the funeral home where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
