Charles Clifford “Cliff”. Ulary of Wilmington, Del., formerly of North East, died at home Friday, September 4, 2015. He was 90. Born in North East on March 7, 1925, he was the son of the late Louis B. and Ida Amanda (Arrants) Ulary. Mr. Ulary grew up in Elk Neck, attending Hart's School and North East High School. During World War II he entered the US Army Air Force. After the war he worked at Hill Air Force Base, UT and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Mr. Ulary and his family members belonged to Hart's Methodist Church in Elk Neck for generations. He lived in North East most of his life moving to Wilmington in 2005. He was known for his wit and generosity. Mr. Ulary enjoyed carpentry as a hobby. He is survived by his wife, Helen Ulary-Bunitsky and her sons, Peter N, Jr, Mark W. and James E. Bunitsky; daughter, Bonnie Northcutt (Jerry) of Utah; grandchildren, Jennifer Osborn, Brad, Brian, and Amy Northcutt; great grandchildren: Isaac and Samantha Northcutt; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Melissa, Georgiana, Jay, Richard and Shirley; sisters-in-law, Lillian Ulary, Mary Ulary and brother-in-law, Walter A. Collings; and his great friend and neighbor Vinnie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Logan Ulary, siblings, Louis B., Jr, Alice Echo (Collings), George H., and Annie Grace; and his nephew Walter Collings. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery. Comments are closed.
