Sandy Ollie Smith of North East died at home Monday, July 14, 2014. He was 70. Born June 22, 1944 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late James Paul and Georgia Ilene Slayman Smith. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was employed as a boiler maker by the Local NTL of Kansas City, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy M. Keller Smith of North East; sons, Sandy O. Smith, Jr., of Conowingo, Michael J. Smith and Mark A. Smith both of North East, Richard Coffin of Rising Sun; daughters, Angela Riley of Conowingo, and Christine Randow of Rising Sun; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and brothers, Samuel Smith and Paul Smith both of Rising Sun, Dale Smith of North East, and James Smith of Easton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Smith. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014, noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 19, 10 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, will officiate. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora. Comments are closed.
