Ruth Marlene Koronik of Elkton died August 13, 2013. She was 69. She was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania on January 29, 1944; daughter of the late Oliver Hobbs and Cora (Horney) Lowe. Mrs. Koronik was a little spitfire who loved to crochet and read the Bible. She had a large collection of Biblical movies. Her favorite color was green.
She is survived by her sons Billy Gilger III and wife Diana of Delaware, Kenneth Gilger and wife Tina of Colora, Paul J. Koronik Jr and wife Sharon of Elkton, Michael S. Koronik of Elkton; daughter Reina Ruth Gilger of Rising Sun; brother James Hobbs of Claymont, Del.; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold W. Gilger II, and Paul J. Koronik Sr., and her son, David M. Gilger. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911 where family and friends may call two hours prior beginning at 11. Burial will follow in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora.
