Ruby Arlene Thompson, of Conowingo, died at her home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. She was 91. Mrs. Thompson was born in Rockview, West Virginia, on November 13, 1922, daughter of the late Charles H. and the late Nyanza Cook. She was retired from Giant Foods where she worked as a cashier.
Mrs. Thompson was a devote Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air. She enjoyed many different aspects of life. Her strength and faith helped her endure a lot over the years. She is survived by her loving son, James L. Thompson and his wife Sally, of Conowingo, and two siblings, William Cook and Pauline Raymond, both of Pineville, West Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two siblings, Bernard Cook and Geneva Mason. Friends can call at the Crouch Funeral Home in North East on Saturday, April 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. Services will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ray Graham officiating. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery in Colora. Comments are closed.
