Robert L. Bour Sr. of North East died at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del., on Monday, April 18, 2016. He was 89. Mr. Bour was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., a son of the late John and Velma N. Yeager bour. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war ended, he completed his enlistment with the Army's Alaska Communications System. Mr. Bour worked as a civil engineer for the federal Department of Agriculture until he retired. He was a graduate of Penn State University. Mr. Bour enjoyed painting. He was also a master tinkerer who enjoyed making many interesting things. He is survived by two sons, Kirk S., husband of Eva Bour of Aberdeen, and Eric Bour; two grandchildren, Nathan Bour and Rachel Bour; and his sister, Betty Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.
His wife, Bernice M. Bour, is deceased. Friends may call at the Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S. Main St., North East, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 29. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on that date by Frank McFadden. Comments are closed.
