Robert Elliott Duncan of Conowingo died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Calvert Manor Healthcare Center. He was 87. Born September 1, 1928 in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Harry F. and Amy Hill Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.'
He was formerly employed as a Master Electrician by Conestoga Wood of Darlington. Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife, Cora Ann Hensley Duncan of Conowingo; sons, Robert Ludy of Washington, Robert Adams, Jr., James Knox and Arthur Knox, Jr., all of Maryland; daughters, Debbie Hill of Washington, Susan Holiday of Nevada, Meredyth Santini of North Carolina, Sharon Murphy of Delaware, Melinda Roosen and Denise Burgess, both of Maryland; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Natalie Bryson of Washington and Muriel Standley of Ohio. In addition to his parents, Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Duncan. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 5, 10 a.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 4, 2015, 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O.
