Richard Wayne Aro of North East died Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was 67. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton, on June 27, 1948, the son of the late George Gilbert and the late Margaret Irene (Streaker) Aro. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. During his lifetime, Mr. Aro worked for DuPont at Eagle Run in the warehouse and shipping department; his own company, Aro Specialty Sign, LLC; and worked for the State of Maryland in security services at the Cecil County Courthouse. He was a lifetime member of the North East Fire Company; enjoyed woodworking, fishing and boating. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie Aro; children, Kevin S. Aro (Tonya) of Bear, Del., and Stacey N. Aro (Jacent Garrett) of Elkton; five grandchildren and extended nieces, nephews and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gilbert Aro. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 22, at 3 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until service time. Following the service, there will be a reception at North East Fire Company, 210 Mauldin Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home. Comments are closed.
