Randall “Randy” Robert Cumm was born in Schenectady NY on 11/10/46 to Robert and Irene Whitcomb Cumm. His family moved to Rising Sun, where he spent his school years and graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1965 and then joined the USAF. He started working as soon as he was of age in order to earn money for his passion for cars, especially hotrods and corvettes. He also met the love of his life, Evelyn Jane Massey, daughter of Bill and Evelyn Rayne Massey. They married May 6th 1967 and then on the 30th of May Randy left for Vietnam. After his tour in Vietnam he was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany where he and Evelyn made their first home. While they were there their first child, Sherry Lynn was born in January of 1970. After he finished his tour of duty they came back to Rising Sun, to live. Then in December of 1977 their second child, William Robert, was born.
Randy followed his job to Newark, DE, Clayton, CA, Auburndale, FL, Mooresville, NC and then back to Florida in Winter Haven to enjoy their retirement. Randy leaves his loving wife of 50 years and best friend, Evelyn, his daughter Sherry (Bruce) and their children Jordan, Breanna and Devin, his son Bill, his mother Irene Whitcomb Cumm, brothers, Jeff (Nancy), Scott (Sandy) and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Robert Wesley Cumm. Randy’s big personality and big opinions will be missed by all his family and friends. A memorial service to be held at a later date.
