Ronald L. Moore, Sr. of Charlestown died at home Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He was 70. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on December 19, 1942, the son of the late Marshall V. Moore, Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Merideth) Moore. Mr. Moore retired from General Motors where he worked as an electrician. He was a member of the UAW and Charlestown Volunteer Fire Dept. where he had served as past president. He loved crabbing, fishing and loved “Old Bay”. He enjoyed visiting Market Street Café.
Survivors include his son, Ronald L. Moore, Jr. and wife Duayna of Port Deposit; daughter, Tracey Thomas of Charlestown; five grandchildren: Ronald Moore, III, Zachary Moore, Jennifer Thomas, Roger Jones and Bridgette Jones; and three great grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Aaliyah Frampton and Bentley Bolyard. He was the husband of Carol A. Moore who died Nov. 22, 2009. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Marshall V. Moore, Jr.; and two stepbrothers, Lyle Bott and Middy Bott. Visitation for friends and family will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1-2 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
