Blanche Jones LeBrun, 83, of Oxford, PA, formerly of Colora, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 18, 2018 at home surrounded by loving family following a brief illness. Born January 12, 1935 in Havre de Grace, MD, she grew up in the Calvert area, attended Calvert Elementary School and Rising Sun High School, and worked at Cecil National Bank, where she met the love of her life, Richard “Mike” LeBrun. They married and raised eight children. Blanche was a devoted wife and mother, supporting her husband and children in their various activities, including Scouts and sports, and was active in her church, being a strong woman of faith. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother, known as “Mom Mom the Great” or Mom Mom the Grape” to her 33 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Renee A. Lebrun, Richard “Mickey” LeBrun, Jr., Pierre A. LeBrun, Claude M. LeBrun, David B. LeBrun, Sr., Jacqueline P. England, Bruce C. LeBrun, and Alan D. LeBrun; 21 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Mike” LeBrun; parents, Claude D. Jones Sr. and Mary White Jones; brother, Claude D. Jones, Jr.; and grandson, David A. LeBrun. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Parish in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018, 11 AM, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the Mass. Fr. Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish will officiate.
