Norma Kay Aleshire of North East died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. She was 76. Born in Bradshaw, W.Va., on December 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Birtie M. (Delp) Carter. Mrs. Aleshire worked as a senior tax advisor for H & R Block. She retired from Avon where she was an assembler. She was a member of North East Church of God. She enjoyed reading, but what brought her the greatest enjoyment was her family and time spent with them. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edgar L. Aleshire; four daughters, Lana K. Richie of North East, Clara A. Warsing of Rising Sun, Dana M. Fersch of Elkton, and Jerry E. Wright of North East; two sons, Edgar L. Aleshire, Jr. of Wisconsin and Rusty L. Aleshire of Elkton; three sisters, Clara Johnson of Norfolk, Va., Jerry Dickens of Rising Sun, and Dorothy Johnson of Rising Sun; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Tilbury and Mary Blythe; and three brothers, Robert, David and Bill Carter. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Chuck Levering, will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time.
