Myrtle Pierce Street of Wilmington, Del., formerly of Havre de Grace, died Sunday, July 6, 2014. She was 81. She was born in Havre de Grace on November 23, 1932, the daughter of the late George A. and the late Leola (Fulton) Pierce. Mrs. Street worked at Lyons Pharmacy, Parklynn Pharmacy, and retired from DuPont. Mrs. Street served on the board of the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum. She enjoyed her ERO luncheons, reading books, cooking shows and going to the beach. She is survived by her son, Ellery J. Street, Jr. of Wilmington, Del.; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Street of Bear, Del.; a grandson: D.J. Deery, III of Bear, Del.; a great granddaughter, Korinne Gearhart; two sisters, Dora (Bob) and Leola (Gordon); two brothers, Steiner (Jane) and Jimmy (Lori); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ellery J. Street, Sr.; her daughter, Robin Ann Street Turkel; and a brother, George Pierce. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation held 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Angel Hill Cemetery, Havre de Grace.
