Mary Louise Miller of North East died Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Union Hospital, Elkton. She was 79. A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on September 29, 1934, the daughter of the late Daniel Leon and the late Mammie (Dennison) Ewing. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of North East High School. She retired from 76 Truck Stop in Elkton, and had worked at Bainbridge Naval Training Center. After retirement she worked at Walmart in Elkton.
She was a very funny lady known all around town for her sense of humor. She enjoyed dancing, telling jokes and playing cards. Most of all she loved her family and the time she spent with them. She was the wife of 61 years of James Edward Miller of North East. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, James Michael Miller, Deborah Miller, Kevin Miller, Thomas Miller, Luanne Lonabaugh, and Mark Miller; grandchildren, Michael Miller, Chris Miller, Melanie Hickman, Shawn Miller, James Miller, Heather Miller, Stephania Miller, Cassandra Miller, Thomas Miller Jr., Eric Lonabaugh, Lisa Lonabaugh, Deana Ittner, Mark Miller Jr., 20 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; and three brothers, James Ewing, Carl Ewing, and Robert Ewing; and sister-in-law, Carol Miller. She was preceded in death by two brothers, six sisters and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
