Mary Dallas Johnson of Port Deposit died Monday, January 20, 2014 in Genesis Health Care Elkton Center of Elkton. She was 71. Born May 30, 1942 in Oxford, Pa., was the daughter of the late Viola Gwaltney. Mrs. Johnson was employed by the Lighthouse Christian Academy of Port Deposit, and the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Pleasant View Baptist of Port Deposit. She is survived by three sons, Russell Johnson and wife, Margi, of Elkton, Stephen Johnson and wife, Anahi, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Douglas Johnson and wife, Brenda, of Rising Sun; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Gwaltney of North East. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Dean Johnson and granddaughter, Amanda Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2014, 1 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Rev. Paul Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Elkton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O.
