Lona M. Breedlove of Conowingo died at her home on August 17, 2013. She was 85. Born in Swords Creek, Va. on April 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Georgia Ray Griffith. She worked as a seamstress at Fawn Grove Manufacturing Co. She enjoyed quilting, crochet and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Breedlove was survived by her son, James A. Miller of Conowingo; a stepdaughter, Shirley Larson of Richlands, Va.; four grandchildren, Gary D. Miller, Tammy Burcham, James A. Miller, Jr. and Jesse A. Miller; three great grandchildren, Fred H. Ledford, III, Eric C. Burton and Dylan M. Burcham; a brother, Floyd Griffith and two sisters, Mildred Miller and Juanita Bostick.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Breedlove; six brothers, Leonard, Herbert, John, Dale, Jesse and Clarence Griffith and a sister, Sue Miller. A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Wednesday August 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
