Lewis Roswell Jackson, Jr. of North East died at Union Hospital on December 6, 2013. He was 81. Born in Perryville on September 24, 1932, he was a lifelong resident of Cecil County and the son of the late Lewis Roswell Jackson and Marian Burlin Jackson. Mr. Jackson graduated from the University of Maryland in 1955 with a B.A. degree and had a successful career in the oil industry with both Sinclair and BP.
He was owner of Wilson Ford car dealership, and served his fellow Cecil Countians as a Cecil County Commissioner and Cecil County Treasurer in the 1990s. Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Mueller of El Paso, Texas; his sons, Michael Lewis Jackson and wife Pat of Perryville, and Patrick Ross Jackson and wife Kim of Lincolnton, N.C.; grandson, Joshua Jackson and wife Patrice of Mooresville, N.C.; two nephews; two stepchildren, Linda Berkhimer and Stanley Strencejewski; and multiple step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by former wives, Marlene Ann Jackson and Billye Jo Jackson. All services are private and for immediate family only.
