Lee Roy Brinegar of North East died at home Sunday, December 15, 2013. He was 85. Born in Sparta, N.C., on November 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Trealy M. and the late Cynthia (Caudell) Brinegar. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Brinegar retired from Perry Point VA Medical Center after 30 years of service. He also had a dairy farm in Conowingo, for many years.
He was a member of Union UM Church, Elkton, and VFW Post 8126, Havre de Grace. He enjoyed woodworking, making toys and tables. He is survived by his wife Betty Taylor of North East; his children, Sandra Lynn Russo of Mims, Fla., Susan D. Talkington of Perryville, and Lee Roy Brinegar of Littlestown, Pa.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret J. Brinegar. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Cheryl Snyder, will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial with full military honors will follow in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air. Comments are closed.
