Larry “Juice” Dale Perry, Sr. of Perryville died at home Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was 76. Born September 24, 1936 in North Carolina he was the son of the late William Leyburn and Ora Medlin Perry. Mr. Perry was employed as a welder by the former Wiley Mfg. Company of Port Deposit. In addition, he was a truck driver for Mac Collette, Delmar Farmer, Donald Williams, Amtote and Electrical worker for Laurel and Pimlico Race Tracks. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, an officer and lifetime member of the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company, Past President of the Harford Cecil Fireman’s Association, a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, a member of Susquehanna Masonic Lodge No. 130 AF & AM of Havre de Grace.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Geraldine “Gerry” Bender Perry of Perryville; son, Larry Dale Perry, Jr., and wife, Robin, of Port Deposit; daughters, Donna Mae Garcia and husband, Al, of North East, and Brenda Lee Shipley and husband, Rodney, of Perryville; grandchildren, Larry D. Perry, III and wife, Kelsey, Philip A. Perry, Ashly M. Nickle; two great grandchildren, Madison E. Perry and Ava G. Perry; also many nieces and nephews.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Billie Wood Perry Pearson. Funeral services were held Monday, July 8, 2013, 11 AM, from the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, officiated. Burial was in Principio Cemetery, Perryville.
