Larry Joe Elswick of Newark, Del., died Friday, January 30, 2015 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was 62. Born in Fayette, W.Va., on April 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Burley Elswick and Dorothy Janice (Bostic) Whiteside of Ohio. He served during Vietnam war in the Army from 1970-1973 and worked as a maintenance technician for Capano, Newark, Del. Mr. Elswick loved crabbing and watching NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Mary C.(Zylkowski) Elswick; one daughter: Amanda Elswick of Wilmington, Del.; three stepchildren: Dawn Boyer of Elkton, Amber Huddleston of Wilmington, Del., and Charles Huddleston, III of Newark, Del.; five siblings, Frank Elswick of Newark, Del., Roy Martin Elswick and Jimmy Elswick both of Ohio, Lynn Elswick of Newark, Del., and Emma Jean Elswick of Texas; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 2465 Chesap Comments are closed.
