Kami Dean Ring of Charlestown died Monday, June 10, 2013. She was 10. She was born on February 18, 2003 in Newark, Del. A student at Charlestown Elementary School, Kami had just completed the fourth grade with Perfect Attendance and on the Honor Roll. She was awarded the John Hopkins Award for Academics. Kami loved attending the Boys and Girls Club, Charlestown. She played the violin and liked listening to Taylor Swift. She enjoyed baking, painting, drawing, poetry, sports, nature and dogs, especially Sadie. She was an awesome sister.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather: Sasha and Ricky Dean of Charlestown; her brother and sister, Joe and Lizzy Boileau, at home; three stepsisters: Hope, Brook and Roilee Ring; her maternal grandmother: Deborah Pearson; and her father: Jeremiah Guetherie all of Coos Bay, Oregon; her step paternal grandfather: Richard Dean of Fort Mohnke, Arizona; and her many friends at school and at the Boys and Girls Club. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dennis Gilbert, Sr. were held Monday, June 17, 2013 from Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East. Burial was in Charlestown Cemetery. The Boys and Girls Club of Cecil County will be handling all expressions of sympathy for Kami's family. Donations will be used to establish a scholarship in her name to help other children.
