Julius Carsten Peter Winfield, Jr. passed away on Friday, June 27. He was 48. Mr. Winfield, 48, was born in Fairfax, Virginia. He was a 15-year resident of Cecil County and a substitute teacher in the county school system. Mr. Winfield was an avid sailor. He was a member of the Elk River Yacht Club for many years, and a volunteer teacher at the Croton-On-Hudson Sailing School in New York. His mother, Frances Mason Winfield, died when he was five, and he was raised by relatives in Virginia, and in Westchester County New York, where he graduated from Briarcliff High School. Mr. Winfield received a B.A. from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia; then spent over a decade working on Wall Street as a bond trader for Kidder Peabody & Co. and Nomura Enterprises.
He is survived by his father, Julius Carsten Peter Winfield, Sr. of Castleton, Virginia. There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. on July 12, at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Va. Comments are closed.
