Joshua Phillip Luff of Newark, Del. died May 24, 2013. He was 20. He was born on April 13, 1993 in Newark, Del.. Mr. Luff attended the Sanford School in Hockessin, Del. where he played soccer and baseball. He was a graduate of A.I. DuPont class of 2011 and member of their swim team. He attended the University of Delaware studying Wildlife Conservation, finishing his sophomore year in 2013, where he was a member of their swim club. He also played on the W.L. Gore Soccer League with his brother Eric and his father Matt. He was looking forward to studying abroad in Africa for Wildlife Conservation. He loved his mom’s cooking and the outdoors; hunting, fishing and spending time with his dogs, Sadie, Montana and Dora.
He is survived by his father, Matthew Luff and wife Sheri of Elkton; mother, Joyce Ann Luff and Tom Inagaki of Newark, Del.; brothers, Eric Luff and wife Samantha of New Providence, Va., James Secor and wife Krystal of Elkton, and Bryan Inagaki and wife Kristen of Falls Church, Va.; sister, Danielle Guthrie and husband Marc of New Castle, Del.; paternal grandparents, Albert and Ella Luff of Chesapeake City; one nephew, six nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Ida Thompson. Friends and family were invited to attend a service celebrating his life Friday, May 31, 2013 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery in Millcreek-Stanton, Del.
