Joseph M. Ford, 70, of Carpenters' Point, passed away peacefully Monday July 21st, 2014 at Union Hospital. He was born on June 29th, 1944 in Elkton and was the son of the late John F. Ford and Carrie Creswell Ford. Joe was a devoted Father and Grandfather who served honorably in the United States Army and was a retired Meat Cutter from Acme Markets. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, boating, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and best friend, Sandra R. Ford, his Sister, L. Virginia Magaw, his Son, John A. Ford, his Daughter-in-law, Lisa L. Ford, 3 Grandchildren, Courtney A. Ford, Joseph A. Ford, and Michelle (Shelly) Ringgold and her Husband Lauren Ringgold, 2 Great Grandchildren, Josiah and Isaiah, and many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Sister, Lillian L. Andrew, and his Brothers, Edwin E. Ford, J. Donald Ford, W. Delbert Ford, Calvin F. Ford, and Howard Ford. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 26th, 2014 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM and a Celebration of Joe's life with full military honors beginning at 1:00 PM.
