John “Jack” Evans of Chesapeake City died Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was 74. He was born November 7, 1938 to the late John and Marion (Bakeoven) Evans. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church of Chesapeake City, the Chesapeake City Lions Club, and the Upper Eastern Shore Anglers. Mr. Evans was also a volunteer in helping take care of the cemetery at St. Rose of Lima. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, and occasionally golfing, but he cherished spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Anita L. Evans of Chesapeake City; sons, Michael P. Evans of Elkton, and Brian T. Evans and his wife, Sherry of Elkton; daughters, Susan M. Silver and her husband, Scott of Middletown, Del. and Barbara A. Love and her husband, Jason of Gainsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Eric and Rachel Silver, Blake and Dylan Love, and Jessica Gold; and one great grandchild, Abby Gold.
A service honoring his life was held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Burial was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Season’s Hospice in care of the funeral home. Comments are closed.
