John Howard Guy of North East died at home Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015. He was 84. Born in North East, on July 10, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Edna May (Hammond) Guy. Mr. Guy graduated from North East High School. He enjoyed his animals, hunting, fishing, going to auctions and being with his family and friends. Mr. Guy was always smiling, joking and laughing. He is survived by his brother, Clifford Guy (Judy) of North East; sisters, Doris (Guy) Stamey of North East and Georgia (Guy) Skinner (Wayne) of Bayville, N.J.; nephews, Clifford Guy, Jr. and son Clifford Thomas Guy III, Wayne Skinner (Crystle), sons Reed and Nash and daughter Ryan, John William Guy (Michell) and daughters Lauren, Hannah and Erin, James Magraw (Debbie) and daughters Jennifer, Melinda and Jeannette, John Henry Magraw; nieces, Amanda Reddingius (Brett) and son Austin, Jaimee Liotti (Aaron) and sons Jackson and Marshall, Cindy Guy and daughters Mikhaila and Morgan, Pamela (Stamey) Inskeep (John) and daughter Jessica.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Irvin Guy and Allan Raymond Guy; sister-in-law, Louella Guy; a baby brother; sister, Mary Lillian (Guy) Magraw, her husband James Magraw; nephew, George Maxwell Magraw; and brother-in-law, Roy T. Stamey, Jr. A funeral service, conducted by Rev. Bert Jicha, will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.
