Jim Walter Holloway of Charlestown died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at home. He was 79. He was born in Statesboro, Ga., on July 31, 1934. Mr. Holloway served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. After his retirement, he worked at the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Fla. for 20 years.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a member of the American Legion Susquehanna Post 135, Perryville. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Holloway; three sons, Randall Donovan of Pensacola, Fla., Steven Donovan of Texas and Jason Holloway of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Alberta Deal and brother, Grady McLane both of Statesboro, Ga. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City.
