Jean Blevins Cowan of North East died at home May 10, 2014. She was 85. Born in Nathan’s Creek, N.C., on July 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Blevins. She was a woman dedicated to her family and enjoyed crafts and gardening. She is survived by her two sons, Lanny and Paul Baker; four grandchildren, Michael and Michele Baker, Angela Rice and Shawn Baker; four great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters, her son Ronald, and grandson Paul Baker, Jr. Services honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Nottingham Cemetery. Comments are closed.
