James (Jim) Hudson of Perryville died at home Thursday, September 18. He was 80. He was born November 9, 1933 in Seymour Indiana. Mr. Hudson was the Engineering Manager of Digital Systems at Northrop Grumman Corp, retiring in 1997. His passions included daily visits to the gym where he was known as the old guy who pressed a thousand pounds on the leg press.
He loved skiing in Utah, flying and sailing. All who knew him enjoyed his quick wit and great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynne Patchell Hudson, two sons, J. Michael Hudson Key West, Fla., Mark Hudson and his wife Renee’ Hudson of Charlestown, and three grandchildren, Alana, Lauren and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Holland Hudson, a sister, Judith Hanners of Vallonia, Indiana, his father, James M. Hudson and mother:, Virginia Holland Hudson of Seymour, Indiana, a niece, Virginia Clark of Clarksburg, Indiana, and a nephew: Grover Hanners of Seymour. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor Saturday, October 4 at 3 p.m. at Mark and Renee’s in Charlestown. Burial will be private.
