Howard Leroy Creswell, Sr. of Port Deposit died at home Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was 69. He was born on February 3, 1944 to the late Raymond and Gladys Creswell. Mr. Creswell worked for many years as a farmer. He also assembled grenades for ordnance to support the Vietnam War, was a heavy equipment operator at York Building, worked for James Shipley Construction, and Comer Construction where he retired in 1990.
He loved to feed and watch the wildlife at his home. He loved the outdoors and riding around the property on the ranger (Buggy). He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Burlin and husband, Thomas; son, Howard L. Creswell, Jr. and wife, Tina; son-in-law, Ricky Blakely; grandchildren, Kristine Blakely, Ronald Blakely and Jamine Blakely; great grandchild, Madison; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Creswell was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gladys Creswell; and daughter, Sarah Beth Blakely. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 17, 2013, 1 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit. Comments are closed.
