Helen A. Myers, of Chesapeake City, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was 81. Mrs. Myers was born in Calvert, on June 12, 1932, daughter of the late Hubert S. and Lydia Keen Miller. Mrs. Myers and her late husband, John, owned and operated Jack and Helen's Restaurant for 46 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesapeake City, and loved to cook. She is survived by her children, Linda J. Miller and husband, Marty, of Davenport, FL; Donald L. Myers, and wife, Emilse, of Kissimmee, FL; and Alan Myers, and wife, Corinne, of Chesapeake City; daughter-in-law, Vicki Myers, of Chesapeake City; sister, Lois Briggs, of Oxford, PA; grandchildren, Eddie Davis, John Myers, III, Ron Davis, Connie Foster, Patti Blakeney, Tammi Shiles, Brittany Myers, Joanna Myers, Stephanie Myers and 13 great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John W. "Jack" Myers, Sr., who passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013; her son, John W. Myers, Jr.; and siblings, Annis Roten, Arvel Miller and H. Dexter Miller. Friends called at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesapeake City on Thursday, June 13 at 12 noon. Funeral services were held at the church at 3 p.m. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Chesapeake City. Comments are closed.
