Harry E. "Butch" Caleb of Chesapeake City died at home on August 28, 2014. He was 77. He was the son of the late James and Annie Caleb. Mr. Caleb retired from Chrysler Newark Assembly Plant in 1989. He enjoyed the friendship he had with the members of the VFW Post 7687, in Chesapeake City. Harry enjoyed traveling and one of his favorite places to go was Ocean City, Maryland.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Heather Wilson Caleb; four children: two sons, Douglas (wife Joyce) and Martin; and two daughters, Heather “Cathy” Estep (husband Michael), and Suzanne Wilson; his sister Rebecca “Betty” May; and sisters-in-law, Helen Caleb, Geraldine Caleb and Melvina Caleb and brother-in-law Richard Johnson. He had seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, John, Richard, Joseph and Jay; and sisters Annie Johnson and Virginia Simpson. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 7687 and mailed to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
