Ham Jefferson Thomas, of Elkton died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his residence. He was 86. Born July 31, 1927 in Woolwine, Va., he was the son of the late Callie H. and Cora Cockran Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was formerly employed as a welder at the Limerick Nuclear Plant in Pennsylvania. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Boyd Thomas of Elkton; son, Shawn P. Thomas of Aberdeen; six grandchildren, Derek Geoller, Lisa Jones, Jaime Thomas, Ashley Thomas Macre, Talon Thomas, Alexandra Thomas; one great grandchild, Adrianna Macre; brother, Melvin Thomas; and sisters, Sylvia Bone, Mandy Morris and Janet Craig.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his sons, Carl J. Thomas and Gregory Thomas; and daughter, Georgia Thomas Goeller. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014, 11 a.m., at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 10, from 10-11 a.m., at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens. Comments are closed.
