Fay Bennett Rodgers of Chesapeake City died Friday, January 16, 2015 at Union Hospital. She was 63. Born August 6, 1951 in Elkton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Secord) Bennett. She was a lifelong employee of the Bayard House where she worked as a server. She was very passionate about serving her customers well and always remembered their drinks. In her free time she enjoyed baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her sons, Jeff Bennett and his wife, Michele and Mark Rodgers and his wife, Janice; six grandchildren, Meghan and Kendall Bennett and Kayla, Hunter, Madison, and Chase Rodgers; brother, Sonny Bennett; sisters, Ellen Robinson, Coleen Ogden, and Rosie Bennett; and several stepchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rodgers, Sr. who died in 2014. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the funeral home, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
