Eleanor R. Eller, 85, of Oxford passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Pilot Town, MD, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Orpha Lewis Farmer. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Eller. Eleanor was employed with Krapf’s para-transit bus for 14 years which granted her the opportunity to form relationships with people in the greater Oxford area. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. Eleanor was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her smile lit up the room most when her children and grandchildren were all together. She is survived by one son, Michael E. Eller of Wilmington, DE; two daughters, Teresa G. Ogino (Mike) of Oxford and Phyllis C. Barlow (Timothy) of Cochranville; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Frank McCoury and grandson, Mark Simmons. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, Aug. 11 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends may visit on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and Thursday from 10-11 am. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.
