Edward H. Campbell, of Conowingo, died at Union Hospital in Elkton on Thursday, June 19, 2013. He was 84. Mr. Campbell was born in McKeesport, PA on March 12, 1929, son the late Edward H. Campbell, Sr., and Mary Bachelor Campbell. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps. He was a retired Baltimore City Police Officer and also worked at GBMC, Nusinov's Jewelers in Towson, NBRS and previously owned the Conowingo Dairy Barn. He was always a servant of the community. He was a member of the Conowingo Road Church of Christ, a life member of the FOP and the NRA and also was active with the Masons, as a member of Stephenson Lodge #135 of AF&AM in Darlington, a member of the Susquehanna Shrine Club of Boumi Temple, and a member of the Boumi Shriners, Baltimore.
Mr. Campbell was a Master Mason and a Shriner for 52 years. As a police officer, he was an instructor and Master Marksman of the Baltimore City Police Pistol Team and champion of repeated competitions. He is survived by his wife, Millie Davenport Campbell; his daughter, Marie Jubb-Bichy, of Perry Hall; his grandson, Edward Jubb, and wife, Kathy, of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Kelli Jubb, and his greatest joy, his three great grandsons, Ryan, Josh and Owen Jubb, who he called "The Three Musketeers." He is also survived by two stepdaughters, Sheila Abrams, and husband, Sam and Essie Davenport and fiance Ronnie Rapposelli; four step grandchildren, Rene Farrow, husband Steve, Larry Davenport, and wife Vicki, Jeremu Justice, and wife Christina and Amanda Cary, and husband Rob, and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Grace Campbell, his infant son, his brother Charles Campbell and six sisters. A service honoring his life will be held on Monday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial will be private.
