Edith Ann Rasnake of Elkton died at home Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was 69. Born in Elkton on September 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur and the late Edith Elizabeth (Cline) Frederick. She was an owner and administrative assistant for Delmarva Steel. Mrs. Rasnake was a member of The North East Church of God. She enjoyed swimming in her pool and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Beecher M. Rasnake; two daughters, Edith E. Birney (Michael) and Mechel D. Perry (James) both of Elkton; son: Gary B. Rasnake (Brenda) of Elkton; sisters, Marie Ewing and Verna Thomas both of North East, Verla Frederick and Peggy Frederick both of Elkton; brothers, Johnny Frederick and Francis Frederick both of Elkton. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She has extended family members Tina Sharp and Anastasia Davenport.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ernest (Tubby) Frederick and Norman Frederick A funeral service, conducted by Rev. Ralph Massie, will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, There will be a visitation for family and friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow services in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen.
