Dawn E. Miller Palmer of Rising Sun died April 26, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was 39. Born in Elkton on May 4, 1973, she was the daughter of the Calvin C. Miller and Ruth Forrester. A 1991 graduate of Rising Sun High School, she became a hairstylist upon graduating and worked for various salons before opening The Whole Sha-Bang Salon which she owned and operated for the past nine years. She was totally devoted to her children who were her world. An avid Baltimore Ravens fan, she loved the water boating and spending time at the beach, and most recently spent a vacation at Cancun.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Megan and Nicholas Palmer and Madyson Smith; her sister Keri Young of St. Cloud, Fla.; her grandmother Nola Forrester; her aunt Ruth Price and her fiancé Guy Butz of Rising Sun. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Janet Miller. A service honoring her life was held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Thursday May 2, 2013. Burial was in Rosebank Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Dawn’s Pride, a fund for her children, in care of the funeral home. Comments are closed.
