David G. Settlemyre, Jr. of Elkton died at home Friday, December 5, 2014. He was 60. He was born in Elkton on September 9, 1954, son of the late David G., Sr. and Kathryn Lee (McCall) Settlemyre. Mr. Settlemyre enjoyed tinkering in his garage, old cars and mostly spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from AMTRAK as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Deborah M. Settlemyre; two sons, David A. Settlemyre of Lewisville, Pa., and Steven A. Settlemyre (Erin) of Elkton; two sisters: Mary Ann Settlemyre and Joyce Ann Sweetman both of Elkton; two brothers, Robert Lee Settlemyre of Chesapeake City, Donald Allen Settlemyre of Perryville; and his grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Kaleb, Jacob, Ella, and Andrew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn L. Terry. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follows services in North East Methodist Cemetery. Comments are closed.
