Dale Stanton, 64 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on January 29, 1951. Dale was a carpenter for Cecil County Government Maintenance Dept. He was a Master Carpenter for over 40 years. He was a black belt in the order of Isshin-Ryu Karate and enjoyed weightlifting and working out. He enjoyed watching the Eagles, riding 4 wheelers and camping. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. He is survived by his devoted wife: Sue Stanton; his children: Jeffrey Stanton (Staci) of Bolivia, NC and Angela Hoeflich (Jeff) of New Windsor, MD; his mother: Marie (Culley) Di Rubbio; his brother: Tim Stanton (Elaine) and a sister-in-law: Carol Stanton all of Perry, FL; and 7 grandchildren: Kyle, Nicholas, Ava, Charles, Jordan, Samantha and Alexis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence Stanton and a brother: Ken Stanton. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Dan Mohler will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in care of the funeral home.
