Constance L. "Dolly" Gibson of North East died at home Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was 93. She was born in Wilmington, Del., on May 4, 1921, daughter of the late Sam and Sarah (Cartelli) Lanteri. Mrs. Gibson was a sales clerk at Cramers 5 & 10 and Armour’s Market. During World War II, she worked at the Triumph (Navy Side) in Elkton. She was a part of many organizations. She was a charter member of the Lady Lions in North East, and was the past president of the Chief Petty Officers Wives Club in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Mrs. Gibson was also a member of the United Methodist Church in North East, Maryland. She enjoyed bowling.
She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William M. “Bud” Gibson who died in 2003 Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday, May 14, in North East Methodist Cemetery. Comments are closed.
