Claude A. Stevens of Elkton died at home on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was 87. Mr. Stevens was born in Cleveland, Va., a son of the late Robert P. and Anna Rasnake Stevens. He worked for Thriftway as a meat cutter until he retired. Mr. Stevens was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Stevens is survived by two daughters, Judy Musick of Rising Sun and Claudette, wife of Chuck Wilkinson of Hockessin, Del.; his sister, Viola Crabtree of Virginia; four half-sisters, Ethel, Mary Ann, Carnell, and Nadine; a half-brother, Ned; seven grandchildren, Steven, husband of Heather Musick, John, husband of Erin Musick, Melissa, wife of Jack Cohen, Amanda, wife of Richie Parsons, Chad Wilkinson, Chase Wilkinson, and Adrianna Wilkinson; and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife, Iva Nell Stevens, died in 2009. Friends may call at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S. Main St., North East, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 15. Services will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf officiating. Burial will be in the North East Methodist Cemetery.
