Charlotte Wood "Charlie" Sharp died April 6, 2015. She was 67. She was born to Jane and Thomas (Buddy) Wood of North East on June 5, 1948. After graduating from North East High School, she began her career in banking at First National Bank of North East. From there, she joined the team at Maryland Bank (later MBNA) and was one of their first 100 “pioneer” employees. After 20 years, she retired as a First Vice President. Mrs. Sharp enjoyed entertaining, both at her home in Locust Point and at many boat anchorages in the Upper Chesapeake Bay, particularly under the bridge on the Bohemia River.
On Friday evenings she could always be found at Happy Hour at Schaeffer’s Canal House, or the Chesapeake Inn. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Sharp of Elkton; her sister, Carol Pedrick and husband George of Elkton; and her brother, David Wood and wife Janet of Charlestown. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street in North East, on Friday, April 10. Friends and family may gather beginning at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Season’s Hospice in care of Crouch Funeral Home. Comments are closed.
