Charles D. Dean, Sr. of Elkton died November 8, 2013 at Union Hospital, Elkton. He was 76. Born in W.Va., on May 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Ray and the late Arvena (Pritt) Dean. Mr. Dean was the owner/operator of Charles D. Dean Excavating. He loved dogs, fishing, classic cars, flea marketing and was a real “horse trader”. He was the husband of Gerrie Dean of Elkton for 43 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Donna Dean of North East, Sherry Tilghman of Tampa, Fla., Tammy Dean, and Charles D. "Buster" Dean, Jr. of North East and Wendy McKenzie of Elkton; two sisters, Bernice Nickerson of Elkton and Betty Sue Fritz of North East; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and “Pop’s girl, bye gum”, the Rose Bud. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dr. Allen P. Dickerson, Sr., were held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Burial followed services in North East Methodist Cemetery. Comments are closed.
